For this week's blog post, I'd like you to talk/write about the last time you went out of your "comfort zone." According to the dictionary, the comfort zone is a place or situation where one feels safe or at ease without any stress. It's easy to stay within your comfort zone because it doesn't require much work. What's harder is to venture out beyond your comfort zone to try or experience something new.
When was the last time you left your comfort zone and tried something new? Give me three examples on how you've left your CZ and be sure to explain how those experiences went. Were you successful? Did you fail? Did you learn something about yourself in the process? Did it prove to you that you can do it again?
For many of you, you're probably saying to yourself, "Man, this is a hard topic!" Well, I'll give you an example you can possibly use for your first example. If you participated in that dance/song routine in New York right before we watched "Matilda" on Broadway, many of you were pulled out of your comfort zone. You weren't comfortable doing those things but you did it. How did it feel afterwards? Are you convinced that singing and dancing isn't for you or was it ok and not so bad after all? That's the kind of example I want you to think about. Good luck!
