With a new school year upon us, what are your goals? I'm talking in terms of the entire year. What do you hope to accomplish in this year of advanced media? Think about all that you want to learn, accomplish, or do and come up with at least three things to share. Oh, and by the way, since we've said we want to work on a short film this year, here is a good YouTube Channel that explains the entire process. It's very entertaining and educational! Check it out!

For this week's blog post, I'd like you to think back on the past year in media. What are the three most important lessons you've learned in this class? As always, you'll need to back them up with reasons and write it in a 5 paragraph constructed response, unless you choose to do a vlog. I'm interested to see what your top three could be!
For this week's blog post I'd like you to think about what video you will be sharing for our annual family night dinner coming up. Each student needs to share a video that he/she worked on and it can't be repeated by anyone else so you will need to talk to your classmates about this. You are required to post the video in your Google Drive in a folder I shared with you.
For this week's blog, tell me what video you have selected and give me three reasons why you feel it is worth sharing that night. For this week's blog post I'd like you to write about how your Kauai Grown team is doing. The three things I'd like you to share is what has your team done so far, what will you be doing this week to make some progress, and what are some obstacles that are in your way in getting things done? Be sure you've written your blog in the 5 paragraph constructed response format.
For this week's blog post, I'd like you to tell me what your top three moments/learnings were from our recently completed STN trip. Take a moment to think back and see if you can narrow the top things you learned or experienced into your top three. I want to know not only what they were but WHY they were meaningful to you. Be sure to explain your answers in your blog in the constructed response format.
Upon our return back home, going through your blogs that were supposed to be done daily on the trip, I've noticed that more than half of the class failed to upload a single blog during the trip. You will use this week to catch up on those trip blogs so if you were one of the few that actually did them, you have a free week. Everyone else needs to use this week to get them done.
Found this online that might help you....

Are you excited yet? I know I am! It's been a long year of fundraising and practices, getting ready for your competitions and I think we are ready to go. What three things are you looking forward to the most? That's what I want you to write about this week. Don't forget to submit your self reflection on your blog topics for this quarter in your Google Classroom too.
With our class completing the final STN practices before we head to the convention, I want to hear from you on how you feel your teams did. I'd first like to hear about your STN contest team, the team that has been practicing for four times so far. How has your team progressed from the very first practice? Has your team improved? Did your team experience any problems that you had to work out along the way? Do you feel like you are contributing to the team or do you feel left out? I'd like your honest evaluation of your role and your team as a whole.
For the Crazy 8's team, I'd like you to do the same thing. Obviously we haven't practiced as much so you only have Sunday's experience to go on, but how did it go? What did you learn from the session? What do you and your team need to improve upon for STN? I'm interested in learning about how YOU felt the day went. With our class working on the Kauai Grown project in the 4th quarter, we need to begin to define our roles within the project. I'm thinking we need teams for the different social media platforms so we would need a Facebook Team, an Instagram Team, and maybe a Twitter or Snapchat Team. We also need a Video Team to do the personal profiles and a Photography Team to help with the photos for all platforms. Each team should also have a designated team leader. For this week's blog post, I'd like you to think about what role you'd like to have and what team you'd like to be on. I will share a Google Doc online with you and I'd like you to also write your name on the team you want to be on. Give me three reasons why you should be given a spot on that team for your blog post. I'm looking forward to seeing your choices!
