Video Blogging

12/14/2015

In class we talked about how I'm thinking of asking you to vlog or video blog once a week.  We talked about the positives: shooting every week, editing every week, basically getting better through doing those things more; and negatives: possible trolls making negative comments, putting yourself out there for people to see, more video and editing work.  Now it's your turn to tell me what you think of this idea.  Can it work or not?  Think of the things I've already listed and see if I've covered them all.  Did I miss anything?  To clarify, I'm thinking of asking you all to post 1 (one) video blog per week based on the topic I provide. That means no 2 written blogs per week. Let me know what you think and come up with three reasons why it can or cannot work.  I look forward to reading your responses!

Olelo Youth XChange Contest

12/6/2015

As we've talked about in class on a few occasions already, you need to get started on your PSA ideas for the 3rd quarter.  To help you in that process, here are some links to the official rules of the contest as well as the sponsored categories.  Now keep in mind that your PSA does not have to follow one of the sponsored categories.  If you don't like any of them,  you can always create your PSA on any topic you choose.  Take a look at these documents first to see if you might be interested in any of them.  After you've had a chance to look them over, write your blog about which topic you are thinking of going with as well as any ideas you have.
