I need you all to go to this link and take this survey to help out Nikki at PBS Hawaii.
I hope all of you had wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your families. It sure was nice to have a four day weekend to get caught up on your school work or to do some Black Friday shopping.
For this week's blog post, I'd like you to write/vlog about what your favorite holiday is. What holiday do you enjoy the most? Do you love dressing up for Halloween? Do you love being in love on Valentine's Day? Do you enjoy eating at Thanksgiving? Or do you enjoy all of the things that Christmas brings (including presents!)? Tell me about it and be sure to give me three reasons why.
Personally, I really enjoy Christmas the most. Who doesn't love two weeks off????? Seriously though, I enjoy putting out icicle lights on our house and seeing what other light shows that our neighbors create. I love the colder temperatures and wearing jackets. I really enjoy wearing jackets and bundling up but this is really the only time to do that. It's way too hot during the rest of the year. I do enjoy shopping too I must admit. It's fun to try to find the perfect gift for someone and of course, if you find something for yourself too while you're at it, then it's a double bonus! My mother used to really love this time of year too and thinking back to how our family spent our Christmases together makes me smile. What holiday do you love the most?
For this week's blog post, since it's a short week, all I want you to do is one blog talking about what you are thankful for since Thanksgiving is coming up. Keep it to the constructed response format of 5 paragraphs. Provide me with at least three things/person/people that you are thankful for.
The United States just elected a new President last week and it was a very interesting election, to say the least. Hilary Clinton, who actually had more people vote for her, lost to Donald Trump who won the electoral college votes. Both sides slung mud at each other and it was one of the nastiest elections that I can remember. The country was almost evenly split in terms of how many came out and voted. Many didn't and seemed fed up with the entire process. Whatever the case, we now have a new President who will be in office for at least the next four years. What did you think of the entire presidential election? In your blog/vlog, tell me about three things that you learned or noticed.
For this week's blog post, I'd like you to tell me about where you and your partners are in your project. Are you ahead of schedule, on schedule, or behind schedule and why? Give me three reasons why you are where you are at. Remember that we have a short week of school this week and with school getting out early you should take advantage of this extra time to work on your projects.
