In every day of our lives, we are asked to make several different decisions that may affect the rest of our day. For example, choosing to play an extra round of Tsum Tsum on your handheld device instead of walking out the door to catch your bus may cause you to miss your bus. That in effect causes your mom to have to drive you in to school which then causes her to be late for work which she's not happy about. Maybe you get yelled at or grounded as a result. Get my drift? That one decision affected several other things. For this week's blog I'm going to ask you to think a little and try and remember a time in which your one decision had a similar domino effect that affected other things. What happened? What did you do and how did that decision affect other events? Was that effect positive or negative and would you go back and change that decision if you could? I'm POSITIVE that you all have made decisions like this that had an affect on something else. Talk to your parents if you can't come up with something on your own. They might be able to remind you of something!
I'm interested to read about your decisions!

This post isn't about a blog you need to do, but instead I wanted to show you a cool video I found on YouTube. This dad is a whiz at After Effects....check it out! On Saturday most of you experienced your first STN practice for this school year. Overall I have to say that you all did remarkably well for it being your first go around at it. There might have been a few hiccups but you were able to overcome them and meet your deadlines with many turned in early. For this week's blog, I'd like you to reflect on your experience this past weekend. Describe how well your team worked and why or why not you felt your team did well or not. What can you do better the next time?
If you didn't come this weekend, your blog is going to be about your upcoming PSA. Tell me three things about your idea and what you have planned. I hope you all had a restful winter break and are ready to get back to work. We have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks to get our PSAs finished on time for the Olelo contest and to get our practices in for STN.
For this week's blog post, I'd like you to think back to the start of the 2nd quarter when I asked you what you wanted to improve upon for the new quarter. What did you write down as your three goals? Did you meet those three goals? Why or why not? If you didn't meet any of those goals, tell me why you think that happened and what you can do differently this quarter to actually meet them. If you met any of those goals, come up with a new one to replace it. Your blog should include the three goals you set in the 2nd quarter, if you met them or not, and if you didn't, why you think what you did didn't work. Finally, if you met any of those goals, you'll come up with new ones to replace them. Good luck! |
