We are the Advanced Media Productions Class at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School in Lihue, Hawaii.  Our class is made up of 24 students in grades 7-8.   We actively participate in the Student Television Network or STN for short.  They are a national student broadcasting organization based in San Diego, California.  We are also proud members of PBS Hawaii’s Hiki No program, the nation’s first statewide student news network.

Our students produce a daily live morning announcement show shown on our school’s closed-circuit television system, are heard weekly on the “Inside Scoop” on FM97 Radio and produce various video projects for our school and community.
Our students are heard every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8:50 am, 12:50 pm, and 5:50 pm on FM97, providing the "Inside Scoop" on what's happening in all of our Kauai schools each week!  Listen to past Inside Scoops here!

"Aloha Atlanta: Hiki No at the STN Competition"
Our students were recently featured in a documentary created by PBS Hawaii about our experiences at the 2016 Student Television Network National Convention held in Atlanta, Georgia.  Anyone who wonders why we work so hard to fundraise every year to attend this convention should watch this.  It goes a long way in explaining what our students go through and how they are put to the test!
